hello

i'm looking for an off-road toy, id like something slightly modified.. lifted 3"/4" with mud tyres must have full working 4x4 set up and decent running gear.

as to what.. im not really fussed.. my brother has a highly modded SJ pick up so i want something like that to be able to go where he goes offroad because im well into the sport now i love it.

Vitara - Sj - pick up - Swb - tray back - fourtrak - bobtail - bodged anything at all is considered except kit cars and soft tops. no tax or test is nesasery as it will never be for road use.

i have a honda CR which has been fully rebuilt and has never been ridden since.. with shop bought trailer which id like to part ex / swap valued at around £750 to cheapen the 4x4 as i dont have much money. value wise im looking at vehicles in the £500-£800 bracket. im willing to split bike and trailer up.

Just a quick update - due to places started to fill up, and also having an immense amount of interest in the H4H 4x4 Rally, we are happy to announce that we are upping the limit of entrants to 40 vehicles/teams (entrants after that will go on to a reserve list). Please remember that the places available are based on a 'first come, first served' basis :)

The HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2010 will start at Noon on Saturday 19th June 2010 at a secret location in North Wiltshire. After using byways on Salisbury Plain we will all go to Portsmouth to embark on the ferry over to France. It will be a 1650 mile/2640 km expedition encompassing 6 countries in 10 days, this non-speed event comprising a maximum of 30+ teams will be part history tour, fun competition, part off-road driving and part club-type social, open to all types of 4x4 vehicles. The money raised by teams will be donated to our chosen charity, HELP FOR HEROES (http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk).

The HELP FOR HEROES 4x4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2010 follows the path and tells the story of the Allied Invasion through Europe and includes parts fabled by the Band of Brothers book and television series. As young men, who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear, the Allied Forces landed in France early on D-Day morning – 6th June 1944.

The liberation of Europe had commenced.

I have been contacted by someone at Total Off Road to see if anyone from the Viking Club would like to enter their see saw competiton at the 4x4 show on February 22nd. This clashes with our trial so I don't know if anyone is interested. If you are interested, contact me and I will give you the information you need in order to enter.

I have just read the following in the latest Total Off Road magazine: The Green Lane Association (GLASS). Trail Riders Fellowship (TRF) and Llanerchindda Farm are compiling user evidence to back up claims that Sarn Helen should remain open for vehciles to use. If you drove Sarn Helen between 16th Novemeber 2001 and 16th November 2006, they want to hear from you.

The Viking Club has stayed at Llanerchindda Farm as a base for doing lanes in South Wales including Sarn Helen.I would ask all members who have driven this lane with the club to download the form and fill it in.

I don't usually write things for the forum as I put everything I want to say in the mag, but I thought I'd put something in this time just for a change. Just to say a big THANK YOU to Simon for the wonderful job he does of both the mag and the website. I don't think people realise how much effort goes in to doing these things. GreatJob Simon.

Can anyone tell me when the next green lane event will take place we like greenlaning.also we will be bringing the catering trailer on the 26th july 08 as we have had to cancel our holiday ok so don,t bring sandwiches
